Volunteer Activities

The Volunteer Activities team organizes volunteer days and projects to beautify and renovate Newtonville. The initial focus will be our downtown. Efforts are underway t collaborate with local schools, business, and residents for a small pilot volunteer day “dry-run” this winter and a larger volunteer day with Newton Serves in May. Proposed projects:

• Clean up litter in the downtown (along Walnut and Washington Streets).
• Clean/renovate the Austin/Walnut bus kiosk/bench.
• Remove gum from downtown sidewalks.
• Remove litter or other debris from the area around the commuter rail.
