Newton Girls Soccer Fall Registration

Newton Girls Soccer registration is open for Fall 2012.

Newton Girls Soccer provides a wonderful learning and playing opportunity to girls in grades K-12 on over 100 teams.
The Club is committed to providing an environment appropriate for the levels of skill, competitiveness and commitment level of each NGS player by providing a variety of programs that match the characteristics of the individual player. NGS currently offers a recreational program (Intramural, K through 8th grade), a travel program (BAYS participation, U9-U18) and, integrated with the travel program, a specialized training program for our most highly committed players.

Kid FunFEST comes to Newton

The Sunday School for Jewish Studies is now accepting registrations for grades K-7 for the 2011-2012 school year.

The Sunday School is an independent school offering a once-a-week program for children in the greater Boston area for over 40 years. Located at the Oak Hill Middle School in Newton, our school is committed to providing a Jewish education that fosters a strong sense of Jewish identity for children and families with diverse traditions of Jewish observance. Spring and Summer Dance Camps at Tian Yue Academy of the Arts

Our Spring break and Summer dance camps offer students two great opportunities to quickly improve their skills in classical Chinese dance and their knowledge of Chinese arts and culture. Our teaching staff of two male and two female instructors are very experienced teachers and they can work with students on every aspect of learning: dance fundamentals in form and bearing, flexibility and posture, acrobatic skills and stage performance. We welcome students with different levels of proficiency as we pay special attention to individual development.

Boston Ballet Offers Vacation Week Program

During April school vacation week, the Boston Ballet will host the program Taking Healthy Steps (THS) at our Newton studio location. THS is a full day program for 11-14 year old girls.

From 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, April 16-20, 2012, students experience a wide range of performing arts including ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop and theatre, fitness classes such as Zumba and yoga, and discussion topics important to adolescent development such as nutrition and healthy body image. Students are fed healthful meals and snacks throughout the day – and no dance experience is necessary to participate.

THS is a tuition based program – however, the Boston Ballet provides a generous amount of financial aid for area students upon request. read more »
