Newton Kindergarten Soccer Registration is open for Spring 2012!

Kindergarten Soccer is a fun and non-competitive soccer program for all Newton boys and girls of kindergarten age and has been a program of the Zervas Elementary PTO since 1993. Games are held on Saturday mornings at Richardson Field in Waban. Join us and meet other Kindergarten families in your neighborhood. Late Registrations are accepted on a space available basis.

Newton Family Singers Host Community SingAlong

The Newton Family Singers invite singers of all ages and abilities to a Community SingAlong. Come sing with us, and enjoy a cozy afternoon of favorite songs with friends, family and neighbors, on Sunday, January 22, 2012, from 4:30 to 5:45 PM at the Waban Library. For lyrics we’ll use the folk song collection Rise Up Singing, so bring a copy if you can. Acoustic instruments are welcome.

Classes at Waban Library

The following classes are offered at the Waban Library Center:

Music Making, $72, Ages 15 mos. to 3 yrs., six Fridays (EVERY OTHER WEEK), 9:30-10:15 AM with Linda Emmanuel.

Toddlers and caretakers: join Miss Linda for sixweeks of music making. Kids will discover their inner musicians! Fun instruments and props will help us explore concepts like fast/slow, loud/soft and start/stop. Miss Linda has a Master's in Dalcroze Eurhythmics from the Longy School, a B.M. in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory, and is on the faculty of the Winchester Community Music School.). Newton West Little League Spring Registration

Newton West Little League (NWLL) runs baseball programs for children (boys and girls) in the Williams, Burr, and Franklin school districts for ages 4 through 12 (as of April 30, 2012). Divisions of play are based on age, grade, and ability. The season runs from early April through the end of June. Please visit our website at www.newtonwestll.org for more information.

Registration is now open and can be accessed from the main web page. Financial assistance is available if needed. Please register as soon as possible. Leventhal-Sidman JCC Soccer Camp

Kicks for all ages and ability levels! The Tri-Star staff of soccer pros and teachers create an atmosphere of fun and learning while assistaing young players in their knowledge of the game. Each child develops a sense of teamwork, sportsmanship, self-confidence and self-esteeem. All campers receive a soccer ball, t-shirt and water bottle. Grades K-7. Early drop off and extended day options available.

JCC "A Step Ahead" Basketball Camp

Family Track Nights at the Y

Join us for evening track meets every Wednesday in July. Families can run, jump, and throw, and take part in friendly competition on the New Balance Track and Field at the YMCA. All ages and abilities are welcome. $2 per event.
