Newton West Little League Spring Registration

Newton West Little League (NWLL) runs baseball programs for children (boys and girls) in the Williams, Burr, and Franklin school districts for ages 4 through 12 (as of April 30, 2012). Divisions of play are based on age, grade, and ability. The season runs from early April through the end of June. Please visit our website at www.newtonwestll.org for more information.

Spend fun-filled summer days at beautiful, wooded, 1,1000-acre Hale Reservation in Westwood as a camper with the Newton Community Service Center.  First through eighth graders enjoy Red Cross swim lessons, boating, fishing, archery, ropes course, sports, hiking, overnights, special events, and more!  Our exceptional camp community celebrates the outdoors, teamwork, and summer fun. All children are bused from our Newton location, making drop-off and pick-up easy.  Programs are offered in one and two week sessions, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Extended day hours are available. Coffee House to benefit AIDS Orphans - Communities Without Borders

Support Kids in Africa and have fun !
Come to the March 6 fundraising event for the Chawama Family Support Home
for AIDS Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Zambia.  This annual Youth Coffee
House is our main fundraiser for this project.  Buy tickets ($5 youth, $10 adults) or
make a donation.  Acoustic and comedy acts start at 7pm and the bands begin at
9pm.  You can buy snacks, t-shirts, jewelry and other African items to support this
worthwhile project.  Communities Without Borders now supports the education of
more than 1,500 AIDS orphans and vulnerable children from pre-school throgh
university.  Free parking available.

Organization's Mission: 
The mission of Communities Without Borders is to educate AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children, primarily in Africa, in order to nourish hope for a better future for them, society and the world. Our approach fosters building ongoing community to community relationships at the grassroots level in order to increase the quality educational opportunities for these children. We take groups of self-funded service volunteers each year to Zambia representing our U.S. community partners for two week work projects.
How to get involved/application guidelines and procedures: 
We are looking for organizations (religious organizations, businesses, schools, institutions, neighborhoods) who will make a long term commitment to support a community of AIDS orphans and their caretakers in Zambia. We now have ten such "U.S. community partners," three in Newton. We would love to come to your group with a slide show of pictures telling our story and showing the successes of our Zambian students.
