RSS in "Plain English"

Disclaimer: SCI did not create this video! It was produced by Common Craft, and I found it via a link sent to me by a Waltham resident just the other week.

It's a fairly simple introduction to what this RSS thing is all about. Note that the video talks a lot about "reader" programs. The Community Portal is, in a sense, an RSS reader program (in addition to being a calendar, blogging service, resource guide, etc.). But it's a reader shared by a community, as opposed to a group of individuals using their own private reader service.

Well, watch the video, hopefully it helps illuminate some of the terms I've just used. :-)
