Newton Girls Basketball (NGBA) registration is now open.

High school registration deadline is Tuesday, November 30. The NGBA high school league is intended for girls who have played basketball and are seeking a fun and slightly more competitive experience. Memorial Day Makeover by Change Your Body Boot Camps

Just wanted to invite you to the 4th Change Your Body Boot Camp beginning May 4th through May 29th.  This phase is named, Memorial Day Makeover and is designed to get you in your best shape for BBQ season.  Think tank tops, shorts & t-shirts, sports and outdoor activities, feeling great, feeling young and having an abundance of energy.
 
Come join the other smart people who decided to transform their lives and live the active lifestyle.  It's a tough workout, I'm not going to lie, but you can do it. 
 
Registration closes Friday, May 4th @ 11:59am.  We're nearly full.  Be one of the last people to get in or plan to join us in June.

Sports Injury Prevention Presentation at Newton North

The Newton North PTSO is delighted to have a PTSO meeting on Sports Injury Prevention by Dr. Lyle Micheli and Dr. Pierre d'Hemecourt.  Dr. Micheli will speak on how participation by both children and adolescence in organized sports has increased dramatica lly in recent years. Dr. d' Hemecourt will talk about concussions.  The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. and run until 9:00 p.m.  All are welcome. Dr. Lyle J. Micheli is one of the world's leading authorities on sports care. He is a professor of orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Pierre d'hemecourt is a Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine Specialist with the Division of Sports Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital (Harvard Medical School).  He is also the team physician for the Boston College . He frequently speaks on Concussions, Spinal Injuries in the Young Athlete, Overuse Injuries in the Upper Extremities and the Pre-Participation Sports Exam.
