Rockin’ Opera Workshop
For kids in Grades 1 – 7.
Session 1: June 27 – July 8
Session 2: July 11 – July 21
Mondays – Fridays, 1:00 – 3:00pm

Join Newton Parks and Recreation and the Newton Public Schools for our Camp Fair

Join Newton Parks and Recreation and the Newton Public Schools for our Camp Fair on Sunday January 30, 2011. The Camp Fair will take place at the Newton North High School in the Cafeteria from 1:00 – 6:00 PM (snow date February 6, 2011).

More than 30 sports clinics, day camps and specialty programs will be featured including Newton Parks and Recreation summer programs, SPACE camp, Garden City Sports, and Newton Community Education programs. Registration begins at the camp fair so be sure to come by and check out what Newton has to offer for the summer of 2011.

December School Vacation Program
It’s like summer camp in the winter for children in grades K – 6. Located at the Lower Falls Community Center, children can participate in sports, arts and crafts, cooking, inside games, outside games, gym activities, and more. Daily special events are also offered. December 27 – December 31, 2010 from 8:15 AM – 3:30 PM (extended day available to 5:30 PM). Spring into tennis!

Spring into tennis! We know you will "Love" it. The Newton Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for the Spring 2010 Tennis program. Clinics are available for kids and adults of all ages and levels. Classes are offered both a.m. and p.m., weekdays and/or weekends. Enjoy a movie, popcorn and drink all for just $6.00 per person. Tickets will be sold at the West Newton Cinema on the day of the event.  Dates and ticket times to be announced in February.

For the sports enthusiast.  Play a variety of games including basketball, floor hockey, soccer, and more – all in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.  Located at Pelligrini Park.  Be sure to bring a lunch and snack each day.  Single day option is available for $45.00 per day.  Registration is available online at www.activityreg.com

Winter is a magical time to explore nature!  Come see how animals and plants are surviving the cold.  Look for animal tracks and investigate other signs of winter activity.  Discover who is taking a rest during the cold months and who is still out and about.
