PThe Plugged In Band Program is hosting our first ever online auction, Plugged In Rocks On(line), sponsored by Needham Bank, Fusion Academy, the Needham Women’s Club, and Middlesex Savings Bank. Auction items can be previewed online starting on May 24th from a link at our website at pluggedinband.org. The auction will be held online from 5/31-6/13/2019, culminating in a live auction of a few special items at our Moms and Dads Rock benefit concert from 7:00-11:00 pm on 6/13/19, at the Needham VFW at 20 Junction Street in Needham. Please consider bidding on items and attending our Moms and Dads Rock concert! It should be a fun night of music, with several local bands featuring parents of Plugged In students and some of our extremely talented group of teachers. You can buy tickets to the Moms and Dads Rock concert through a link on our website at pluggedinband.org or at the door on the night of the event. Featured online items will include Red Sox tickets, a long weekend at a cottage on Cape Cod, a tour of the State House and lunch with Representative Denise Garlick, tickets to theatrical and musical performances, artwork, gift certificates, experiences, and services generously donated by artists, businesses, and restaurants in Needham and throughout Massachusetts.
The Plugged In Rocks On(line) Auction will benefit the Plugged In Band Program, a non-profit music program serving Needham and the surrounding communities for the last seventeen years. We teach young people how to play music in a rock band and use their music to make a positive change in the world. In addition to ensemble band classes, private lessons, songwriting workshops, summer camp and community performances, five times a year students perform in benefit concerts that raise money for causes and organizations chosen by the students themselves. Our creative and nurturing environment lets kids feel safe taking risks that result in artistic growth and increased self-confidence throughout their lives.
