For the 6th annual Newton Has Talent show, special guest, Gilly Assunção, local rising star will be attending as one of the judges and may even be performing!
For this much loved event, all proceeds will go toward the community service projects of the Rotary Club of Newton. Ten acts,chosen by public vote, will perform in April 28, at the JCC of Newton. We have 5 adult and 5 youth acts. The winner in each category will win $1,000 PLUS an additional $1,000 for a charity of their choice. This year, contestants are singing their hearts out for charities such as Newton Schools Foundation, Newton At Home, the MSPCA, and more. Gilly will be one of three judges, and will also perform at intermission. Winners will be chosen by a combination of audience votes and judges votes.

The story of Guilherme (Gilly) Assuncao is a magical story of a grocery store employee whose talent is discovered. With four months of the public recognition of his astounding singing talent, Gilly is on his way to Berkley School of Music on scholarship yet!
