Euripides’ Helen is a radical take on a story you think you know. While the Greeks have spent ten years fighting in Troy to bring Helen home, the Queen of Sparta has actually passed the entire war trapped in Egypt, avoiding the King’s advances until the long-awaited return of her husband, Menelaus. When he finally appears, it is up to Helen to finally see them home again.
