With so much fast-moving reporting, I have declined to post my own news below. Instead, I have curated sources of information on the pandemic that I trust. These sources incorporate wide-ranging expertise and communicate with high signal-to-noise ratio.

Public health

  • STAT Coronavirus coverage. Public health journalism, owned by the Boston Globe
  • The Lancet COVID-19 Resource Centre. Medical journal that has collated its virus research and removed its paywall
  • Ashish Jha: Twitter. Director of the Harvard Global Health Institute
  • Adam Kucharski: TwitterWebsite. Epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Author of The Rules of Contagion

Business & the economy

  • Patrick O’Shaughnessy: PodcastTwitter. An investor who hosts an influential business podcast
  • Tyler Cowen and Alex Tabarrok: Blog. Economists whose blog is consistently ranked as one of the most respected in the field
  • Alex Danco: Newsletter. VC based in Toronto who has gained a large audience for clear writing on complicated subjects
  • Jesse Baerkahn: Website. The founder of Graffito SP, a Boston-based neighborhood planning & retail leasing firm. Graffito is on the front lines of planning and advocating how to help the small retailers who will be devastated by the pandemic

Government measures

  • Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association resource center. Provides an overview of what governments are doing as well as what they should be doing
  • Newton Mayor Ruthanne Fuller’s newsletter. Review archives and sign up here
  • Newton Public Schools COVID-19 resource page for parents and students
