Thanks to the generosity of presenting sponsor Whole Foods Market and sponsors Digitas, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, ScrubaDub, and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. – Pie in the Sky is back for 2020! To ensure our guests’ health and safety and give our longstanding, generous baker and restaurant partners a much-needed reprieve, we’ve taken many steps to streamline “the world’s greatest bake sale.” This year, we’re excited to offer a limited quantity of our two best-sellers, Apple Pie and Pecan Pie, baked fresh to serve at your Thanksgiving dinner table. Pies will be available for purchase via pieinthesky.org beginning Thursday, October 22. All pies sold through our website will be scratch-made by Community Servings’ kitchen and a local gourmet pie bakery we’ve partnered with to help fill orders. As professionals serving immunocompromised clients for over 30 years, we always adhere to stringent health and food safety practices, including taking temperatures upon arrival, wearing face masks, and working in a socially distant manner in our kitchens. Once baked and cooled, individual pies will be boxed up, sealed, and transported untouched directly to select outdoor pick-up sites across eastern Massachusetts. We’re excited to share that in mid-November, Apple and Pumpkin Pie in the Sky pies will also be available for purchase at all Whole Foods Market locations across Massachusetts. $5 from each in-store sale will go directly towards feeding our critically and chronically ill clients across the Commonwealth. Please stay tuned for more information about this exciting partnership! As always, you can help feed a critically ill neighbor in need for a week this holiday season by making a $30 ‘Pie for a Client’ donation once our shopping cart opens.
