The Newton-Needham Chamber is partnering with Mayor Ruthanne Fuller’s office on a campaign to spread the message about supporting local businesses, especially as we enter the critical holiday shopping season. The “My Local Newton” campaign coincides with a state’s My Local Ma marketing effort, which also aims to promote supporting local merchants and restaurants and will be supported with TV, radio print and online ads. While we’ll be asking Newton’s elected leaders and residents to help spread the word, there’s also an important role for our businesses.

Here’s three simple things your business can do:
Share the campaign onsocial mediaUse #mylocalma and #maskupma any time you post about your own business or whenever you use another local store or vendor. We’ve included this downloadable graphic you can use and a list of sample posts/slogans you can borrow from.

Print flyers to display in your storeWe’ve customized two colorful posters you can use to display. Additionally, if you are currently offering curbside pickup, be sure to grab a free 11 x 17 “Open for Curbside” sign available for pickup atStaples Connect in Needham.

Use logos to customize your own social media posts, email campaigns or other content

We’ve included two “My Local MA – Newton” logos you can use on your own graphics, flyers, email campaigns or however you wish.
