A Message from Melissa:
“I hope this finds you feeling well! Thank you so much for being there for Newton Theatre Company this year– for logging on to our Zoom shows, for supporting us with your generosity and enthusiasm. Our small company needed to keep performing, it’s what we do, and we were so lucky to have an audience to perform to.”

As Newton Theatre Company embarks on its first in-person, outdoor show– the last show of our 2020-2021 season – we want you to know how much we appreciate you, our wonderful audience. Stay tuned for an exciting 2021-2022 season featuring a mix of in-person and streamed productions.

And for those local folks, we’ll see you at the Hyde Bandshell! And now, the final show of our 2020-2021 season…

COVID Protocols– What to Expect at Our Outdoor Performance
All performers are vaccinated. Our singers will be masked, while our actors will remain unmasked.

All singers and actors will be wearing microphones and their voices will be amplified.

Our audience members are encouraged to wear masks.

The field where the audience will be seated is large. We encourage our attendees to spread out when seating themselves, with parties being six feet from each other.

Seating starts at least 25 feet away from the bandshell. Do you want to keep high-quality theater accessible for all the people of Newton?
