Flutter is a temporary art installation on Newton parklands during summer 2022. The goal of this project is to enhance public spaces and create connections throughout the community. Butterflies have lives of transformation and resilience, an appropriate reminder for us in our current climate. Six (6) butterflies will be installed on parklands across Newton. This project is organized and funded through Newton Cultural Development, a department with Newton Parks, Recreation, & Culture.
Objectives:
- Reimagine City Hall grounds and Newton parklands for community enjoyment
- Improve community engagement with the arts
