We are delighted to share our news that, thanks to the generosity of the Newton community, The Newton Schools Foundation made the largest donation in its history to the Newton Public Schools! NSF President Amy Werner presented the check at the Newton School Committee meeting on December 19, 2022. This remarkable gift will fund grants that support new approaches in the classroom, professional development for teachers, and programs that promote equity for all students. In addition, the funding reaches 23 schools in the district and supports The Calculus Project, an initiative that helps historically disadvantaged students complete AP calculus in high school.
