As of July 13th, at least 201 Newton cyclists are slated to ride in the 44th Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) on the weekend of August 5-6 to raise funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In this event, the PMC hopes to raise a record-breaking $70 million for cancer research and patient care, which, if achieved, would be the single-largest gift that Dana-Farber has ever received and would bring the PMC’s total contribution in the fight against cancer to $970 million since 1980.
