Newton Community Pride (NCP) proudly announces “Meet the Maestro,” a special event featuring an up-close and personal evening of conversation with Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart. Jim Braude, co-host of WGBH’s Boston Public Radio, will interview Lockhart about his extraordinary musical career, his experiences collaborating with a diverse range of artists, and his remarkable 28 years leading the Boston Pops.

Meet the Maestro is NCP’s second annual event honoring a Newton resident who is an outstanding leader in the field of arts and culture.

NCP is delighted to present this special evening recognizing the amazing accomplishments of Keith Lockhart, and we can think of no better person to lead the conversation than Jim Braude, the best interviewer around. We are beyond excited to see these two on stage together.

Meryl Kessler, NCP Board Co-Chair

Meet the Maestro” will be held November 8, 2023, at Showcase SuperLux in Chestnut Hill from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Limited theatre-style seating is available. Ticket price includes light hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and a dessert reception. NCP thanks Showcase SuperLux for hosting this event.

Keith Lockhart is one of my favorite people. I’m thrilled to partner again with Newton Community Pride, the perfect organization to showcase Keith’s immense contributions to the arts. Trust me, attendees will learn he’s as entertaining a talker as he is a conductor.
