Camps will open for registration at staggered times on the night of January 31st to make the process run more smoothly.  Some camps fill quickly!  Please be sure to log in at the correct time to register for the camp you are interested in.

Kids Korner  for ages 3.5-5 years old running 7/8 – 8/16 from 8:30 – 3:30 (half day avail). Cost:  $340.00 per week
This is a great introduction to summer camp for pre-schoolers.  Children choose from a variety of activities throughout the day.  Age appropriate arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games and water play are offered.  Located at Burr Park Community Center.
 
T-ville Trails  for grades K–8 running 7/1 – 8/16 from 8:30 – 3:30 (ext day avail).   Cost:  $360.00 per week
T-ville Trails offers activity choices during each activity period.  Separate activity choices are offered for children in grades K—2 and grades 3—5.  New this year, we are adding a middle school program for grades 6-8.  Children can choose from age appropriate sports, arts and crafts, music, inside games, playground,  science & nature, water play and more.  Special events are offered each week at camp.  Located at Bowen School.  CIT program offered.

Albemarle Acres  for grades 1–6 running  7/8 – 8/16 from 8:30 – 3:30 (ext day avail).  Cost:  $330.00 – $340.00 per week
Join us for sports, inside games, arts and crafts, gym, playground, language arts activities, STEM, swimming, special events, field trips & more.  Campers are placed in a group for the week and participate in activities with their groups.  Includes a summer swim membership to Gath Pool (new Gath Pool is scheduled to open summer 2024).  Located at Franklin School.  CIT program offered.

Camp Echo Bridge  for grades 1-12 running   7/1 – 8/9 from 8:30 – 3:30 (ext day avail).  Cost:  $380.00 per week
Enjoy an exciting inclusive program that incorporates educational components into our fun- filled days.  Lower Camp and Middle School (grades 1-8) caters to campers with and without disabilities.  Upper Camp caters to high school campers with disabilities.  Activities  include sports, arts & crafts, special events, swimming at Crystal Lake and more.  Includes a summer swim membership to Crystal Lake. Located at  Mason Rice School.  CIT program offered.

Vacation Camps  for grades 1-6 running 6/24-6/28 and July 1,2,3&5 from 8:30 – 3:30 (ext day avail).  Cost:  $405.00 per week
Enjoy a fun field trip every day.  Sports, arts and crafts, and other activities are offered before and after field trips.  Lunch is included on field trips! Sign up by day or for the whole week. Located at Lower Falls Community Center.

Specialty Camp at Emerson Community Center for grades 1-8 running  8/19 – 8/ 23 & 8/26 – 8/30 from  8:30-11:30 & 12:30-3:30 (ext day avail)  Cost: varies
Each specialty program offers their own instruction led by coaches and teachers.  Morning (8:30 – 11:30) and Afternoon (12:30 – 3:30) specialty programs are offered.  Campers signed up for both a morning and afternoon specialty program can bring a lunch and stay with staff in between.  Afternoon extended day is offered.  This program is located at Emerson Community Center and runs Monday-Friday.  Options include:  Badminton, Challenge Island STEAM Camp, Be Ahead of the Game and RoboThink STEM Camp.

Tennis Camps  for ages 5-16 running 6/24 – 8/23 from  9:00 – 3:00 (half day avail).  Cost:  $575.00 per week.
Join instructors from JXS Tennis for summer tennis camps.  Each day will include warm up activities, skill development focusing on a different stroke each day, and game play.  Located at Newton South and Newton North High School.

Viking Sports Camps  for ages 7 to 12 running   6/24 – 8/30 from 9:00 – 3:00 (ext day avail).  Cost: varies
Learn the skills to play a variety of different sports each day while enhancing physical, social and emotional growth.  Check the schedule for specific theme weeks.  Located at Pellegrini Park.

Outdoor Adventure  for grades 2-6 running 6/24 – 8/1 from 9:00 – 1:00.  Cost: $400.00/session (2wks).
Spend time outdoors discovering the natural world, making new friends, and playing fun games. This program runs Monday—Thursday with Friday as a rain date and runs as a two-week session.  Individual weeks are also available.  Located at Nahanton Park on the Charles River.  CIT program offered.  Check out the Specialty Camps at Nahanton Park to extended your camp day to 3:30.

Specialty Camp at Nahanton Park for grades 2-8 running 6/24 – 8/1 from 1:30 – 3:30.  Cost: varies per program
Learn a new skill with our specialty camp instructors at Nahanton Park.  These programs run Monday-Thursday with Friday as a rain date.  Campers signed up for both Outdoor Adventure and the Specialty Camp will stay with camp staff in between the two programs.  Sign up by week for any number of weeks.  Weekly programs include: Wilderness Survival, Paddling Camp, Orienteering, Ultimate Frisbee and Archery.
 
Summer Golf Camp for ages 8 to 14 running 6/24-6/27, 7/8 – 8/8 from 9:00 – 3:00.  Cost: $375.00 per week
Have fun, enjoy golf and learn the basics of the golf swing.  Campers will participate in a variety of games, drills and techniques throughout the day that will begin to help their game.  This program runs Monday—Thursday rain or shine.  Located at Newton Commonwealth Golf Course.
 
All Star Chess Training Camp  for ages 8-15 running 7/29-8/2 & 8/12-8/16 from 9:00-3:45  Cost: $425.00 per week.
For serious young chess players between the ages of 8 and 16 who want to make considerable progress in improving the focus of their game.  U.S. Life Master and FIDE trainer Lou Mercuri is running his 21st summer of All Star Chess with Newton Parks and Recreation.  Special features of the Training Camp include: Small group training sessions, Tournament preparation, Team problem-solving competitions, 40-problem tactics test, Student evaluations, Group analysis of students’ best games, & Blitz chess tournament.  There is no minimum or maximum recommended rating, but the general range of abilities for this camp is from players just starting tournaments to players in the top 50 for their age in the US.  Located at Emerson Community Center for the July 29th week and Lower Falls Community Center for the August 12th week.
 
Camp Extreme for grades 5–8 running 7/8-8/9 & 8/19-8/30 from 8:30-3:30  Cost: $435.00 per week
Be active and have fun while challenging yourself to the extreme on a field trip each day.  Trips include hiking, swimming, climbing, adventure & more! Includes a summer swim membership.  Program runs Monday—Friday rain or shine.  Located at Lower Falls Community Center.
 
Wilderness Education for grades 6–9 running 8/12-8/16 or 8/19-8/23 from 9:00 – 3:00.  Cost $415.00 per week
Learn skills and build knowledge to survive in the wilderness.  Participants will learn survival skills like constructing a shelter, how to safely build a fire, navigating through the forest without a map or compass, identifying edible and medicinal plants and more.  Located at Nahanton Park.

Environmental Science Program  for grades 7–10 running 7/1 – 8/1 from 9:00 – 4:00.  Cost $2,445.00 for the full program.
This unique month-long program lets students enjoy the wilderness while learning about the science of the environment. Topics often include geology, botany, ecology, wildlife, pollution, forest succession, climate change, conservation & more. Highlights include bicycle trips, T trips to science landmarks in Boston, a 12-mile canoeing adventure, an expedition to the salt marshes of the North shore, hikes in MA and NH and the ever popular 3 day backpacking trip up Mount Washington with a 2 night stay in the Lakes of the Clouds hut.  Located at Bowen School.
 
Counselor in Training Programs   for  grades 8–11  at Albemarle Acres, Camp Echo BridgeOutdoor Adventure & T-ville Trails
Learn how to become a great counselor.  Develop skills in  activity planning, child development, effective leadership styles & more.  Work with the campers and staff at your program to further develop your skills.  Sessions are offered for first year and returning CIT’s.
