Attention artists! Don’t forget about this exciting opportunity to participate
in our spring 2023 public art banner project called Celebrate Newton. The deadline for submissions is January 17, 2023. Artists selected through this juried initiative will receive an honorarium of $1,800.
Newton Community Pride is currently seeking creative, bold, and vibrant designs from local and regional artists. Over 100 banners will be hung in several village centers and along several major thoroughfares throughout the city. Banner designs should be Newton-specific and celebrate the culture, history, diversity, values, and/or beauty of the City of Newton. We look forward to this year’s public art initiative to enliven and brighten our city, inspire civic pride, and introduce more art into our public spaces.
