Activism and ‘Redeeming Uncle Tom’
March 5 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Our screening of “Redeeming Uncle Tom,” a film about Josiah Henson, whose life story inspired Harriet Beecher Stowe, informs our discussion afterwards with scholar Holly Jackson. Learn how Henson fits into the 19th century movement for abolition. This program is funded in part by a grant from Mass Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
