Campus 101: College Visits

February 6 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Are you a high school junior beginning to think about the college application process, but have no idea where to begin? Are you a parent of a junior and you’re feeling overwhelmed about your child’s upcoming college applications? Are you planning on using February or April vacation to visit colleges and university campuses? If you answered “Yes!” to any of the above questions, then this free presentation at the Newton Free Library is for you. Dr. Maruta Vitols of A+ College Consulting will share best practices on how to begin the college application process, specifically how to make the most out of campus visits. She will cover such topics as “must-ask” questions, what to look for, who to talk to, and how to use information from a campus tour to help refine a student’s college application list. There will be time for Q&A after the presentation. In the Druker Auditorium. For more information on Dr. Vitols, check out www.apluscollegeconsult.com.
