Cemetery 101

May 29 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Free

A ‘cemetery’ is defined as a ‘burial ground,’ but cemeteries and their burial options can be quite diverse. What is the role of a cemetery? What are the different types of cemeteries and burial options? What are the main considerations that are to be made when preplanning a funeral or burial?

Join Newton Cemetery staff members Timothy Burns and Daniel White in the Chapel as they answer these questions, and many others. There will be a short walking tour of the Cemetery following the discussion.

Timothy Burns has been the Director of Cemetery Services at Newton Cemetery since 2012. Daniel White is a licensed funeral director and recently joined the staff as Cemetery Services Associate. Tim and Dan both work with families, funeral directors, memorial dealers, visitors and cemetery staff, assisting those in need of Newton Cemetery’s services.

Don’t miss out. This event is FREE, but participation in limited. To RSVP, call 617-332-0047 or email ncc@newcemcorp.org.
