Disability story: overlooked stories

February 12 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm EST

disability

Students from Gann Academy will give us a presentation. They will tell us the often overlooked story of people with disabilities in America. They will also share their research about individuals who attended the Fernald School in Waltham and the Peabody Home. Moreover, you will see panels from the exhibition “Division, Unity, Hardship, and Progress: A Disability History of the United States”. Last but not least, a grant from The Newton Cultural Council, a local agency supports this part of our  “Expanding Our Narratives” program.

Check out Historic Newton‘s storytime program for kids Here.
