Education: Refugees & Asylum Seekers – from Turning a Blind Eye to Collective Responsibility with Dr. Chivi Kapungu, Ph.D.
Physical Practice: Flow Foundations with Anjali Mehta.
Dr. Chivi Kapungu is a Senior Lecturer at MIT in Women and Gender Studies and Brain Cognitive Sciences. She is also a staff psychologist at the Bedford VA Medical Center. Her clinical research interests include cross-cultural sequelae and recovery from traumatic exposure in humanitarian conflict settings.
Anjali Mehta is a yoga teacher and Consultant Relationship Manager with Calm, a leader app for Meditation and Sleep.
This 8-week Series combines education, movement, discussion, and collaborative dialogue aimed at understanding our individual and collective potential within a sociopolitical context. While we as a faculty are specifically inviting any and all BIPOC and Gender Diverse Folxs, all are welcomed in this collaborative learning space!
This event will be in-person while simultaneously live-streamed. Virtual space is unlimited. The physical space is limited.
Every session is 90 minutes: 30 min of education followed by a 60 min physical practice.
