Mayor’s Open House and Food Drive

December 31, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Be sure to visit Newton City Hall on New Year’ s Eve Day – December 31st for Mayor Fuller’s Open House and Food Drive.  More than thirty food collection boxes from the city-wide food drive will be delivered to City Hall for sorting.  Bring the whole family to help our Newton Food Pantries sort the donations.  Bring your own breakfast food donation and arrive by 10 am in the War Memorial Auditorium.  Once the sorting is complete, the festivities continue with family fun activities throughout City Hall. Be sure to save time for a personal visit with Mayor Fuller in her office.  The open house concludes at noon and is free and open to all. Thank you to Newton Community Pride for sponsoring this final community event of 2019.

As part of the New Year’s Eve Open House at Newton City Hall, the Newton Republican City Committee, in partnership with the Sons of the American Legion, will be hosting their annual CarePacks drive for our troops. The CarePacks will be shipped to Boston area soldiers serving our nation overseas.  This year marks the 10th anniversary hosting this event for our servicemen and women. Suggested items to donate include protein bars, dried fruit, canned tuna, and toothpaste, among others.  For more information on what to bring, check out the website: carepacks.org. You can also bring along a tax-deductible contribution, made payable to CarePacks, Inc.  For more information, contact info@newtonrepublicans.org.
