November 26, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

LET THERE BE LIGHT: A captivating exhibition at Galatea Fine Arts that promises to enlighten and infuse the holiday season and the approaching new year with hope, inspiration, and warmth.

Newton Open Studios is pleased to announce the highly anticipated art exhibition, “Let There Be Light”, showcasing the transformative power of light in artistic expression. The exhibition will run from Friday, December 1 to Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Galatea Fine Arts located at 460 Harrison Ave # B6, Boston, MA 02118.

Organized by Newton Open Studios director, Claudia Fiks, “Let There Be Light” invited artists of all career stages to submit artwork that explore the concept of light as a catalyst in their creative process. The exhibition aims to ignite contemplation on how light can infuse life, raise awareness, and cast a spotlight on subjects that demand attention. Works on view present the symbolic connotations of light, representing knowledge, enlightenment, hope, and spiritual awakening within their creations.

Works on view include various mediums, such as paintings, photographs, mixed media, jewelry, wood, installations, and drawings. The exhibition showcases the versatility of light as a source of inspiration across various artistic disciplines.

“This extraordinary opportunity stretches the boundaries of artistic expression and invited artists to explore the intricate relationship between light and their subject matter,” said Claudia Fiks. “Galatea Fine Arts is the perfect setting to present these innovative and thought-provoking works, offering artists the chance to showcase their creative processes in a prestigious gallery ambiance.”

The “Let There Be Light” exhibition offers artists a distinctive platform to showcase their work, inviting new buyers and collectors to acquire original pieces during the festive holiday season. Newton Open Studios and Galatea Fine Arts warmly extend this invitation to everyone, encouraging them to consider the gift of original art from local talents as a thoughtful and unique choice for friends and loved ones.
