Public Telescope Nights
November 16, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Tuesday and Friday, repeating until November 16, 2018
Join us for Public Telescope Nights at New England Sci-Tech, a new non-profit educational organization that specializes in hands-on STEM education for students of all ages. Located on the Wellesley/Natick line, we point our large telescopes toward a variety of planets, the Moon, and stars. Kids and teens can borrow smaller “Starblast” telescopes to hunt sky objects. Depending on staff availability, we may offer inside activities as well, such as touching a rock from outer space (70 lb meteorite!), weighing yourself on the moon and planets, and operating the Mars robotic arm to pick up rocks. Public telescope nights are held on Tuesdays 10/30, 11/6, 11/13 at 7pm-9pm, and Fridays 11/2, 11/9, 11/16 at 6:30pm-9pm. Free admission. Donations welcome. Learn more atnescitech.org
