OLGA LISOVSKAYA, soprano, is a native of Kiev, Ukraine, and a resident of Newton, well-known in New England for her beautiful voice. Hailed by critics as a “wonderful coloratura soprano with the flexibility to caress the highest range notes,” Olga Lisovskaya’s most recent operatic engagements were the roles of Ksenia (Boris Godunov) and Oksana in the New England premiere of Cossack Beyond the Danube by S. Hulak-Artemovsky , both with Commonwealth Lyric Theater.
Ms. Lisovskaya is an active concert singer, and has shared the concert and opera stage with the soloists from Bolshoi Theater, The Met and LaScala. Most recently, Olga Lisovskaya toured New England as a soprano soloist with a concert program Three Tenors from Around the World, a Tribute to Mario Lanza, featuring tenors from the Metropolitan Opera. Her program of Ukrainian music has been praised by the critics and audiences and was featured on both American and Ukrainian television.
Ms. Lisovskaya is Executive Director at Commonwealth Lyric Theater – an opera company in Boston, MA, and a Director of Talents of the World, Inc. – an international concert organization.
Ms. Lisovskaya holds a BA in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College, Certificate du Chant from École Normale de Musique d’A. Cortot, Paris, France and Certificate of Political Science from L’Institut des Sciences Politiques, Paris, France.
In addition to being an active singer, director and producer, Olga Lisovskaya enjoys teaching voice to students of all ages and levels.
