Wayland HS Hackathon: Hackaway For Good

The Wayland High School Computer Science Club invites all area high school students to Hackaway For Good, a free, one-day hackathon on Saturday, November 16, 8:30AM-7PM at Wayland High School (264 Old Connecticut Path, Wayland). Students will work in teams to develop an app, game, web site, or idea that improves experiences for people with disabilities. No experience is necessary. Mentors from Google, Microsoft, Olin College, Perkins School for the Blind, and various startups will inspire and help. Projects will be judged and thousands of dollars in prizes will be awarded. Families and the public may attend the demonstrations and closing ceremonies at the end of the day. Space is limited. Register here for the hackathon and for a related workshop in Accessibility Design on November 8, 4:30-6PM at Perkins School for the Blind (175 North Beacon Street, Watertown).
