Our first kayak trip on the Charles River this year is sponsored by Boating in Boston.
The Historic Newton Boathouse has long been known as one of the best places to rent a kayak to explore the beautiful Charles River. Join us at this historic site for an hour of paddling on the river. Afterwards, enjoy light refreshments and a short historic talk
about this special boat house. Space is limited.
Paddling time will be from 10:00 -11:00 AM. Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork and safety instructions.
The main parking lot lies across the river from the boathouse, just a couple minutes walking distance over the Route 30 bridge. THERE IS NO PARKING ON THE COMMONWEALTH AVE SIDE OF THE RIVER. To drive there- take Rt. 30 west to Rt. 128 northbound. Do not get onto the highway, bear right to the Norumbega Road parking lot entrance. The stairs at the end of the parking lot bring you back to the Rt. 30 bridge, just a short walk to the boathouse.
