Thanks to the generous donors to this year’s very successful Educational Excellence Fundraising Campaign, Newton North science students are already using new cutting-edge tools to aid their understanding and build their skills.
Some 225 generous families helped the North PTSO surpass this year’s ambitious goal of $43,000 to equip the NNHS Science Department with the devices it requested. Moreover, t
Juniors are already using new micropipettes in their biology course, and seniors are using new miniPCR machines in AP Biology. Looking ahead, campaign gifts will benefit current sophomores and freshmen, and future students for many years.
The PTSO sends a very heartfelt THANK YOU to all donors!
Last but not least, we wish to recognize especially the civic-minded NNHS family who provided the matching donation; Heather Haines, Science & Technology/Engineering Department chair, for providing advocacy; Principal Henry Turner for inspiring families involvement; the NNHS Graphic Communications Department for their professionalism; and the PTSO Board for their leadership.
