Share Your Thoughts, Experiences During  the COVID-19  Crisis

During this historic time of COVID-19, we are longing now, more than ever, to connect with one another. As Newton’s history museum, Historic Newton is helping Newtonians document your experiences during this historic event. We’ll keep the stories and photos you share so that residents in the future can learn about life in Newton during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Share your story! Send your story to stories@historicnewton.org. Submissions should include a photo (any person pictured should be age 18 or older) and a short entry (no more than 100 words, please!) detailing your thoughts, experiences, and musings during the COVID-19 shutdown.
Follow others’ stories. We will share selected entries via Instagram and Facebook using the hashtag #newtonconnects. Check our page to look for your entry and follow how your neighbors are thinking, feeling, and coping during this unprecedented time. Although we are practicing social distancing, we need not feel disconnected.
Here is an update about how COVID-19 protocols affect Historic Newton. Note that the situation remains fluid and the best way to stay up to date on programs is by visiting the calendar page on our website. The City of Newton maintains a website with frequent updates about COVID-19. Museums are closed. The Jackson Homestead, and the Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds, are closed through at least April 7. Public programs are also canceled or moving on-line through at least April 7. We will try to reschedule as many programs as possible. Watch our website as well as our FacebookInstagram, and Twitter accounts for ways to stay connected to Newton’s history during this unprecedented time.
