CSFP is excited to be a sponsor of NewtonEats, a weeklong series of events organized by NewCommunity as Newton’s first “Food Insecurity Awareness Week” (August 22 – 28). NewtonEats events will include a showing of the movie “A Place at the Table” on the lawn of Newton City Hall, a presentation on community gardening, a community meal and a family food fair. It’s going to be a very informative, inspiring, community-building series.

This week was featured in a recent Boston Globe article which included a quote from our pantry manager, Rose Saia. For more information, please visit the NewtonEats website.

If you’d like to attend the ‘no cost’ community meal on Wednesday, August 25 at the Hyde Center, please email Info@centrestfoodpantry.org to express your interest. Seating is limited.
