Newton’s Artful Pianos project celebrates creativity and an invitation for neighbors to gather, perform, and find inspiration from public art. Nine painted pianos will be displayed across the city from Memorial Day through Labor Day; we invite you to stroll by and play! Many thanks to this year’s Artful Piano sponsors Newton Community Pride and M. Steinert & Sons.

Piano Pals Wanted!

Help protect a piano from the elements this summer. As a piano pal, your task is to cover the piano in bad weather, and your reward is to see it admired and played in your neighborhood. We supply the materials. Pals are needed for the pianos in Newton Highlands and at City Hall. Contact Lisa at lrucinski@newtonma.gov to adopt a piano for this summer.
